There are many translations of the Ten Commandments. This is one of my favorites. It is offered for your consideration. The Old Covenant: 1. I am the Lord your God. You shall not have strange gods before me. 2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. 3. Remember the Lord's day keep it holy. 4. Honor your father and your mother. 5. You shall not murder. 6. You shall not commit adultery. 7. You shall not steal. 8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. 10. You shall not covet your neighbor's possessions.
The New Covenant: 11. Jesus said," I give you a new commandment. Love one another as I have loved you."
HOW CAN YOU SERVE GOD? I can serve God by gratitude, honesty, loyalty, thoughtful consideration towards others, and obedience of all rightful authority. I can also serve God by using my talents to perform my responsibilities well. Jesus said, "Whatever you do to the least of my brethren, you do unto me." WHAT DOES GOD PROMISE TO HIS SERVANTS? God's commandments are His covenant with his servants. To those who keep His covenant God promised everlasting life in heaven and abundant blessings on this earth. Jesus said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all else shall be given to you."
