       The reason Jesus was born is really very simple. Jesus came because he wanted us to be happy. When we think on it for a while, we come to realize: the only reason God the Father sent his only Son to earth was because He wanted us to be happy.

       When we think about it some more, we realize that it is impossible to be happy if we are confused. It is impossible to be happy if our thoughts and our internal life is in turmoil. Jesus came to show us how to achieve inner peace.

       Jesus often said,"Peace be unto you." He really meant it! Jesus came to bring peace on earth to men of good will. Jesus also promised us we could be happy forever.

                Think of it --- happy forever!

                That means --- endless happiness.

       And the journey towards endless happiness can begin NOW! Wherever you are.

       As we travel on that journey it is very reassuring to know that we are on the right road and that we are heading in the right direction.

             It all begins with trusting God!

       Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he very clearly instructed his apostles to spread the good news. The apostles were to teach God's chosen ones how to become happy NOW.

Dear Reader,

       I spent 32 days in India in the summer of 2001 and another 45 days more in the summer of 2002. While I was there I was asked to preach at several Christian churches. Before I left India to return to the United States I was asked to write down my sermons so people could experience them again.

       I was in a rush so I did not have time to write out the complete sermons but I did make a synopsis. My Happiness essays began as a synopsis of my sermons in India. Some parts of the synopsis are rather complete while other parts are mere outlines of the topics discussed. I am giving this to you in the hope that you might gain some benefit. If they give you even just one useful idea, then it will be worth the effort.
